Paint Atmospheric Skies and Landscapes — (5 Weeks of 1:1 Lessons learning Digital Painting with me)

Learn to paint breathtaking skies, mountains and landscapes in Photoshop or Procreate. I've been working as an illustrator professionally for 15 years and can teach you how to draw and develop your work as an artist/illustrator with simple steps and helpful feedback. Often what's most useful is not another online tutorial but actual human 1:1 support on your learning journey!

The course consists of 5x 1 hour Video Calls with me where I'll coach you through each stage and give you plenty of drawing exercises and feedback along the way.

Structure

1. Timeless Rules: Composition, Perspective, Values
   Understanding landscapes as big shapes and value groups and why that makes a great landscape. + homework set for the following week.
   
2. Painting Skies
   Cloud forms, light, colour transitions, atmosphere. + homework set for the following week.
   
3. Painting Mountains & Natural Forms
   Shape design, techniques to draw mountains, trees and rocks. A look at textures, and brushes and what to use where.. + homework set for the following week.
   
4. Putting It All Together
   We'll be painting a more complex full environment, considering the sky + landscape + our storytelling. We'll look at colour in a landscape and what works and how to select colour groups for good harmony in a landscape. + homework set for the following week.
   
5. Choose Your Path: Seascape or City scene
   Pick a direction and we'll both work on the landscape type of your choice. I'll guide you through completing a finished painting and review the lessons we learned throughout. + moving forward tasks set with areas to keep working on.
